Malfunctioning of Keys of Laptop

Hi..

I am facing very weird problem with my laptop keys. All of sudden some keys stop working and then after some minutes they start working.

I have run Dell diagnostic CD several times but it is not helping me at all and shows all is perfect.

Can anyone suggest why its happening?

Malfunctioning of Keys of Laptop

Well, if your laptop keyboard is not malfunctioning, then there is a possibility that what is happening is you are having a keyboard typing lag wherein the letters you are typing are taking sometime to register on-screen like your system is still thinking what letter you might have typed. The reasons for these are:

1. If you are using a Windows Operating System, it may need to be updated.
2. You may need to reinstall the program where the typing lag is happening like Microsoft Word for example.
3. If you have a Lenovo laptop that might have been programmed to cause typing lag, then you will have to remove its Lenovo Thinkvantage Password Manager.

Malfunctioning of Keys of Laptop

If your keyboard device is not working , problem will be related to keyboard drivers. These Drivers act as link between computer and keyboard. When they are corrupt communication breaks down. So you try and update the keyboard driver. Match your keyboard driver to your system specification.

Don't use wrong one or else you will face a new set up problems.

The best thing to do is to get software that will access a database of millions of drivers. Try this site : http://driver-update-software.com/. It will help you with this. Here you have free scan with driver update software. Your computer will be scanned for drivers installed. Download and Install the .exe file. It then scans your system and gives the results. Search for the keyboard driver and download new driver.

Restart your system and this should help your keyboard work.
