Last night I tried installing Mafia 2 game on my Windows Vista laptop. The installation started just fine but when it reached the setup part, this message appeared and the installation crashed. Is there anyone able to tell me why did this thing happen?

Windows vista is a bit flaky when it comes to games. To resolve that issue, you will need to try making a folder and then move the setup you are trying to install into that folder. Try running the setup from that folder.

If the error persists, you will need to get another Mafia 2 setup and use it for installation.

Hi Oliviarwilkes,

The error message you just encountered proof that incomplete software download will effect to unsuccessful set up. You might mention that you've seen this software was successfully downloaded by you. Possibly you're right because there aren't no error messages, right? But upon installing it, this message appears. Unfortunately, this is one of the case, you haven't completed the entire download of the software you're trying to install thus I recommend you to download again.

Another possible reason why the setup failed is because of the software compatibility. If the download version is running in 64 bits, you should have the 64 bit version. Again, I would recommend to download the latest compatible version of the software and retry the installation process.

Hope this helps.
