Hello sir, I have this problem with my system XP, when I insert a CD, it reports ‘ Macromedia projector has stopped working, and it turns out to have closed the system. Kindly help me solve this error. Why does this error occur?
Hello Ayesha, well if you get the error of Microsoft media projector has stopped working, you make sure that whether it is happening with that particular CD or with every CD. You can check in Compatibility mode, just Right-click on the setup.exe file in the CD and then go to properties. Click on the compatibility tab; you will see a “ Run this program in compatibility mode for” just click a tick mark on that.
Then select service pack in Windows XP from the menu. Click Ok and try to install it. If this doesn’t work, you can right-click on ‘ My Computer’ go to properties, click on the Advance system go to performance settings then click on Data execution prevention tab. You need to turn om the DEP. It will help you for essential Windows programs and services.
