Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.5 Unity ISIS Installation Failed

Hi,

This error is generally occurred when an previous Unity ISIS client version has previously been installed on the system, and where the standard ISIS uninstall process via Applications/Avid_Uninstallers/AvidUnityISIS/AvidUninstaller.app has left ISIS software bits remaining on the system.  These software remainders do not let a successful install of the ISIS 1.5 client and as a result cause the error.

If the standard ISIS uninstall process fails to entirely wash out the system of all previous ISIS client software elements, then the following manual process should be utilized:

To manually Uninstall ISIS client and Reinstall on Leopard (OSX 10.5.5.)

  1. If there then Delete the AvidUnity ISIS folder from Applications
  2. Navigate to Library/Startupitems and remove AvidUnityISIS folder
  3. Navigate to Library/Receipts and remove AvidUnityISIS.pkg
  4. Restart
  5. try reinstalling ISIS 1.5 client software

If you are still not able to reinstall ISIS 1.5 client software, call Avid Customer Support at 800-800-2843 for more help.
