Low memory error from AOL 9.6

Hello Techyv experts,

I have a question which I believe is a conflict between AOL 9.6 and Windows 7. I recently run system restore on my computer to correct an error I am having with another program. I restore it to a date that AOL is working.

The computer starts back okay and everything else works except for AOL. I am getting the message that an error has occurred due to low memory which is hard to believe because my computer has 4GB of memory.

 AOL advice me to remove the AOL program from the computer then reinstall it back but with no luck. AOL then refer me to contact Microsoft because according to them this is a registry error. I already tried running the computer in safe mode, uninstall/reinstall AOL multiple times and running the computer in selective start-up using MSCONFIG. Any idea?

Hi cybersporo,

Regarding about the attachment you showed the computer insists that you have low memory. And that you had ran system restore due to an error. What was the error? What program are you referring? Was your system not affected before the system restore? Have you tried re-assessing your system?

In this cases that you have already tried reinstalling the aol program yet still got no results well you might really have memory problems. Try Checking your processes status. You can do this by going in your Task Manager then check for the CPU usage and Physical Memory usage. You can also check the performance of your computer.

So please check for this cause the error before running system restore might have really messed your memory.
