I have a low cpu web browser mac issue. Firefox is slow, IE is slow, Safari is a bit better but still slow. I don't know if it's with my Mac or it's just the browser. What browser could you suggest that will consume the lowest cpu usage?

Have you tried the Google Chrome? Being one of the best browsers in the market today, it can be helpful for you. Another low processor consuming browser is Fast Browser. It has almost all features of Google chrome but consumes very less CPU clocks. Use any one of the two and you will have your issue solve.

Hi Dorothy,

Although Google chrome would be the best possible option all round however keeping your point of low CPU usage you need to consider “Opera “as your web browser. This will certainly give you the end result that you are looking for.

You can also try some tip and trick to lower your CPU lag in Mac.

1.     Keep enough free disk space.

2.     Quit the browser once in a while so as minimize on memory usage by browsers.

3.     Reduce or eliminate widgets

4.     If you use safari as the default browser or any one you can always empty cache from Browser menu.

5.     Also periodically empty history from browsers.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Baker
