Hi guys.

I am using Windows XP SP3 and a logitech Pro 9000 webcam. I found an error message while trying to download and install the latest webcam software and then quits. Message attached.

Logitech Webcam Software Installation

We were not able to install the software. This could be due to any of the following issues :

– not enough disk space. Be sure you have enough disk space on your computer to install this software.

– There is already another install in progress. Be sure that you are not trying to install other software at the same time.

– You do not have permission to install software on this computer. Log in as an administrator or check with your computer’s administrator.

– Your installation media is damaged. There may be some missing files. You can download the latest software from the Logitech website and try the install again.

– You can also restart your computer and attempt the software installation again.

Help needed in emergence. Thanks for support.

You need to un install your current Logitech Pro 9000 software first then install the latest version of which you download.

To un install the software:

  1. Go to control panel.
  2. Select Add or remove program.
  3. Select logitech Pro 9000 from the list and click uninstall button in the top of the list.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Install the new version.

hope this will solve your problem.

Hello,

One option to solve such a problem can be to create another Administrator account, and then try to install the webcam software again. But also you can opt to download the Desktop messenger from the logitech official site. It will help you to solve the problem.

I also advice you to try another download since the one you are using may be some how corrupt.

Hope it helps.
