Hi. To learn how to plot a graph in Excel, first click on Start and then on the icon of MS-Excel to launch it. Open a new spread sheet with the data which needs to be converted into a X-Y plot. Select the columns or rows which should be included along with the data in the plot. Then, click on insert and select the scatter menu. Select the scatter plot options from among scatter with only markers, smooth lines and markers with straight lines. The scatterplot selected will be inserted into the spread sheet. Then, select the chart tools from the work area which appears only after the chart has been enabled. You can also change how the scatterplot appears from the chart styles menu by changing the colour, line, width and the shading. However, this customization is totally optional and up to you.
