Hi. To learn how to normalize data in Excel, first open MS-Excel by clicking on start and then all programs. Select the first cell named A1 and then type values in it which needs to be normalized. Next, select the cell C1 and enter the function for finding out the average of A1: the row in the first column that is, A and then click on enter. The average function is used for the standardize function. Then, select the second cell which is C2 and type the function for finding out the standard deviation and then click on enter. The function can be a ratio starting from A1 to the last row of column A. Then, click on the cell named B1 and type the standardize function in it and press enter. In the standardize function, the names of the columns such as A1, and dollar sign between the alphabet C and the number 1, the dollar sign indicating that the formulas can be copied without changing these references as a result of which the normalization for the numbers in the cell A1 will appear in B1.

Next, select the cell B1 and drag the mouse till the last row of column A and then release the button of the mouse as a result of which the standardize function will get copied to the second column and it will contain the normalized data.

Hope we helped.
