Kodak Printer Installer; error 0x8001010e; operation could not be completed

I tried installing Kodak ESP 725o network printer on Windows 8 Consumer Preview. The setup software detected the printer but this error appeared. I tried uninstalling it and restarted my computer and installed it back, it still happens. What do I do now?

Hello,

There may be a compatibility issue with the Kodak printer installer and your operating system. Windows 8 consumer preview does not support some of the software that is supported by Windows 7. Try to search in its official website for Windows 8 compatible software.

Hi,

It seems like you are facing this problem due to compatibility issue. So try running in Window 7 Compatibility mode. Required steps are:

1. Find utility setup in start menu.
2. Right click and select ‘open file location’
3. Right click the exe file to choose properties.

   
    

4. Now click on Compatibility tab and set window 7.
5. Finally try to run the setup again and hopefully it will install.
