Kaspersky Antivirus 2011: Databases are Absolute Error on Updating

I am using a Kaspersky Antivirus 2011. Every time I start my computer, it reports to me that "The databases are absolute, update now." When I update, it keeps on repeating the same error message and adding that it never completed updating. What is the problem with it as I have a good internet access.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The Norton software is not that good and if you can use Avira it is good for your system.

Thanks,

Anilkumar.

Hi James,

I read your post just now. I think the problem is not in your internet access. It maybe because of your Antivirus settings or your PC settings. Despite all, I use a different Antivirus, anyway I can suggest you two ways.

  1. You have to update it manually. Go to your Kaspersky Antivirus option, find the option for updating anti virus. Every Antivirus must have this option, then select the words that contains "Update Now". Wait several minutes until it shows a new window that will show you the progress of updating your Kaspersky Antivirus. After it had been updated, go to the option which maintains automatically updates. From my experience, it`s better to set it as daily updates. It will help you out of this problem in the future.
  2. If you have done the first suggestion, but your Kaspersky Antivirus is still do not updated, I think it`s because there are some files missing in the folder. Actually, they are in the folder, but maybe it can`t be read by the program. So, I suggest you to download another version of the Antivirus. If possible, download the latest version of updates or you can uninstall your current Kaspersky Antivirus and then you can reinstall it later after you restart your PC to make sure whole old Kaspersky Antivirus is lost.

Thank You,

Hi James,

Try to remove in "Add remove programs" then remove also in "regedit" then reboot and try to install Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 again. If the same error comes up after reinstalling it, I suggest you to change your Antivirus software.
