I have a problem with jSDN Yacht Designer.
I get this startup error when I try to run it. I am hoping that there is a way around this.
Can anyone solve this?

Sometimes, even when Windows OS may fail to read the hard disk, just like the Linux OS is doing. So you will need to try to read using a live Linux CD and see if that will help you recover the data.

Since you are using a Windows system, I will give you instructions on that platform. Try Scandisk to check and fix errors on your hard drive, and if thereis none, install the latest Java runtime environment. You can download it for free on the JAVA website, java.com/en/download/index.jsp. Lastly, if you still encounter the same error, reinstall your jSDN Yacht Designer.
It seems the main issue here is the Java Virtual Machine installed on your computer. Before installing jSDN Yacht Designer, make sure your computer meets the requirements. The latest version of jSDN Yacht Designer supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Windows 8.x and Windows 10 are not officially supported. jSDN Yacht Designer also requires JDK 1.6 or higher.
If you have a JDK installed but you receive this error, it means you are using an older and unsupported version. On the other hand, if you don’t have JDK installed on your computer, you need to install it to make the program work. To fix the problem, download Java SE Development Kit 9 and install it.
JDK 9 only supports 64-bit Microsoft Windows so make sure your operating system is 64-bit. Once JDK 9 is installed, jSDN Yacht Designer should now work properly. You can also download the latest jSDN Yacht Designer.
