Hello there,

Today I reinstalled my Windows 7 (x86) on my laptop and I have this problem installing iTunes. I have downloaded a few different versions from different servers but I can’t install it. It worked just fine before I reinstall the Windows. Can anyone help me to install iTunes? Please tell me the steps to install and if possible provide me a good installer.

Thank you!

If you are downloading the installer for iTunes from different websites instead of getting it from the legit Apple website then maybe there is something wrong with the file. There is actually nothing special you need to do to install iTunes and it doesn’t require the installation of supporting components such as Microsoft .NET Framework, QuickTime, and others to work.

Once the file is downloaded, run the installer by double-clicking it, and just follow the succeeding instructions to complete the entire iTunes installation, that simple. If you are getting your download from other websites, download it directly from iTunes 11.1.5 Download. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and up, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Remember that the version that is normally provided in the download page is the x86 version.

If you have x64 Microsoft Windows you need to download the 64-bit version of iTunes and not this one. Once downloaded, try it again and see if it works. If you still get an error, try opening it as administrator. Right-click on the installer and select Properties. Go to Compatibility tab, check “Run this program as an administrator” under Privilege Level, and then click OK. Start the installer again and it should fix the problem.
