Today when I have connected my iPod to my laptop and trying to copy some songs this error appeared. I tried to copy my songs in many different ways and none is working. Now I am out of ideas and can anyone please help me copy my songs? What could be the main cause of this error?

Thanks!

iTunes could not copy “Memories Are Made of This” to the iPod “Roger’s Nano” because an unknown error occurred (-50).

If you are using an old version of iTunes and a new version is already available for download, I don’t think the program will allow you to continue with the copy without updating iTunes first. So to begin, you need to update iTunes first before the copy can continue. To get the latest, visit iTunes 11.1.5 Download.

Once downloaded, uninstall the old version from your computer, restart your computer, and then install the latest version iTunes 11.1.5. Once it is installed, you can now copy the music you want. To begin copying, open iTunes then go to View then select Show Sidebar. Connect your device to your computer then follow the instructions on your iPod.

Select “Connect to iTunes”. Select your device in the Device tab then go to Music tab. Find your desired music and copy it to your device or select “Select the entire music library” if you have plenty of space in your device. Click either Apply or Sync to begin copying and you’re done.
