Hi Stepanjohn,

No you cannot burn a CD a second time unless the CD ROM is rewritable, which means it can be burned multiple times. That is why it is called CD ROM (Read-only-memory).

Burning CD is a one time process, even if you burn data into less than 1 % of CDs capacity you cannot burn it again. And while burning make sure you leave some space on the CD, this will be used by the burner to write information needed to make it compatible with a wide range of video devices. That is why you need to get a blank CD or a DVD perhaps to write your movie.

Yes it is possible if your disk is rewriteable. A rewriteable CD disk can erase at any time, and you can burn and erase it again and again. If your disk is not rewriteable you cannot do it. You need to install the Nero software for burn CD ROM, but now in a day it is more easy and affordable to use a pen drive or flash drive or memory card.

This type of disk you can write, erase and rewrite easily at any time at any where. It is more comfortable then CD ROM. I suggest you if possible you can buy a pen drive or memory card. This tips may be solve your problem. Thank you.

No it’s not possible to write moves on a used cd rom since the session has already been closed so as to enable it work, by enabling work I mean the cd rom. If the session has not been closed yet it’s possible. But once it has been closed then it’s not possible unless its a CD.R.

thx

Hello Stepanjon,

It depends with the kind of CD you using. There are two kinds of CDs. One that you can write files on it only one time, called the CDR which means that it is read only and the CDRW which means that it is rewritable and therefore you can write files on it more than one time.

So if you are using a CDR then I am sorry you cannot copy your movies more than one time. Once you burn the movies on it, that is it, they will be permanently there. But if you are using a CDRW, then you may be lucky to use it on more time. It allows you to burn your movies on it only one more time.
