Hi Experts,

While doling out specially crafted symbol strings in Skype conversations, processing the message using the Skype built in communication frame, inserting triggered masks of the Skype software, a bug is located. The important point here is vulnerability. It permits an attacker to stop the communication message frame of related multi chat members.

The bug is also responsible for implementation of such string mentioned above by an attacker as it has weakness vector.

I am not sure about the complete process.

Anyone having an idea about the issue mentioned above please help me.

If you intentionally did this on the said application then you should do a report about the possible weakness on the part of the software and then send it to the support personnel of the website where it is officially downloaded. This will help the developer of the software to further strengthen the coding or programming of the product to remove the said “bug” you found in the application.

If the problem displayed in the screenshot you posted was the result of a previous upgrade on the application, uninstall it again then download the latest version of the software. After downloading the installer, scan it with your antivirus to further verify the reliability of the file. After this, install the software and then see if the previous problem will appear.

Try to reset your Skype settings. Go to your Task Manager locate and kill the Skype.exe process.

Or click Start and then type %appdata% on the search box and press Enter.

Search for the Skype folder and rename it such as Skype 1 and then restart your Skype.

If it still doesn't work, remove all the Skype components from your hard drive and re-install a fresh copy of it.

Get it here.
