Issues on UNIX PCL Code?

Good Day TechyV!

Does anyone of you is familiar with the UNIX PCL Code?  Can anyone please tell me what are the PCL commands and how they are used in Unix systems? What comprises a PCL code for printing using the HP PCL 6 printers? Can anyone please give me guidance? Your help will be very helpful.

Issues on UNIX PCL Code?

Hello Amarion,

Printer Command Language (or PCL or PCL commands) is a set of commands developed by HP as a protocol to be followed by printers while performing printing tasks.

PCL 1 was the first release in1984 followed by PCL 1+, PCL 2, PCL 3, PCL 3+, PCL 3GUI, PCL 4, PCL 5 and PCL 6 which is the latest in the league.

These versions are a result of the evolving printing technology.
