I need help on VLC 2.0.3 on my 64-bit PC. I cannot play any 1080 MP4 but I can do that on older versions such as 2.0. So I decided to just go back to the lower version 1.9. But each time I try, the player is still showing version 2.0.3 even though I use an installer for version 1.9. By the way, I am using a sony VGN 150 dual processor laptop and a dual monitor.
Can anybody help me on this?
Issue on playing MP4 on VLC 2.0.3
Hi,
You are facing the problem because you have both the versions installed on your computer. To solve this problem you need to remove one version of VLC. As you say that the older version plays all the videos, I suggest you to remove the newer version.
When you are trying to play the video it is being opened in the newer version which means that you have both the versions installed. So go to Control panel and uninstall both the versions of VLC player.
Now, install the older version in which you can play all the videos. Do not install the newer version.
This will solve your problem.
