I encounter an 80004005 error when I open VirtualBox on my Windows 10 PC. The Virtualization setting is on, and I have all the necessary components. I am using VirtualBox for the first time, and I have no prior experience. Is there any way to solve the issue?

Method 1

Disable your antivirus software and run the VirtualBox. To disable your antivirus, open it. You will find a disable option there. You can look it up in your browser, as all the antivirus has different ways to disable them.

Method 2

a. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
b. Type Regedit and press enter.

c. Click Yes on the new window.
d. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers.
e. You will find an entry – C:\\Program Files\\Oracle\\VirtualBox\\VirtualBox.exe”=”DISABLEUSERCALLBACKEXCEPTION”
f. Delete the entry.
g. Restart your device.
h. Run the virtual machine.
