I am a part of the Windows Insider program, and I am getting the following error – a component of the operating system has expired (Windows 10). I have set the correct time, but it did not help. Is it possible to fix this error on my own?

Is It Possible To Fix The Error – “a Component Of The Operating System Has Expired Windows 10?”

There are several ways to fix the error – a component of the operating system has expired (Windows 10). You have already tried one, so I will discuss the rest.

Method 1

a. Insert a Windows bootable media to your PC.
b. Go to the BIOS.
c. Set a previous date.
d. Make the bootable media the first boot device.
e. Save changes.
f. Exit.
g. As soon as the Windows 10 installation screen shows up, press Shift + F10.
h. Command Prompt will open.
i. Type cd c:windows and press enter.
j. Type attrib -r -h -s bootstat.dat and press enter.
k. Type rename bootstat.dat bootstat.old and press enter.
l. Type exit and press enter.
m. Remove the bootable device.
n. Restart your PC.
o. Install the latest Windows build.
p. Set the correct date again.

Method 2

The Motherboard battery might be corrupted. Try to replace your battery and set the date.
