I am currently working on an idea to develop an Iphone game. I am a novice in programming languages. Can anyone tell me what programming language is used to develop Iphone games? Also, I would like to know the usual time frame for development of an iphone app and are there any cost involved in this process?

Iphone game development language and requirements

Developing an iphone app is a great idea. You will need to have lot of programming skills in C to develop an iphone app. The most important thing you will need to develop an iphone app is a Mack Pc or laptop with OS X Lion 10.7 or higher.

You can download the Xcode app or ios sdk the software development kit from the official Apple developer website. The .NET languages are cannot be used for developing iphone app.

For registering as an official developer there is a standard of $99. You need to sign up as an official developer to test the apps on a phone, without that you will only be able to test it at onscreen emulator. The time frame is depends upon the type of app you are designing.
