You are getting a runtime error on your browser because there is a software or hardware that is preventing them from working properly. And it can also be, if the site you are trying to access uses HTML code that would not work on your browser due to compatibility issue. A fix for this depends on the type of the runtime error you are receiving.

If you received this type of runtime error, click on the Tools button on your browser and go to Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab and then tick the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes. Untick the Display a notification about every script error check box.

Just click on OK button and close the dialog box.

If you got the same error message as shown in the image above, you may need to reset your Internet Explorer settings to revert to the original default settings. To do this, close your browser and then reopen it again. If you are running Win 8, launch IE for the desktop. Altering the settings will affect both IE and IE for desktop. Go to the Tools again and click Internet Options. Click Advanced tab and then click Reset or Restore Default. Under the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click the Reset option. You can also tick the Delete personal settings if you wish to delete browsing history and more. Click OK and close IE. And then restart your computer.

You can also try to check on the recent hardware or software changes that you installed and try to remove it temporarily and check if they are the cause of the problem.
