Internet connection neither explorer nor fire-fox would go online

I would like to have an explanation to the following trouble in windows 7 in simple terms, as I am not very computer literate.

My computer works well and connecting to internet, but recently windows 7 auto-updated, and despite active internet connection neither explorer nor fire-fox would go online claiming with proxy server. Explain what the meaning of this claim?

Hi Eachaidh

I would like to suggest you that just ignore that message and follow the instructions which i provide you.

Just go to the control panel of your computer and uninstall programs, after that just check mozilla firefox and internet explorer just uninstall them completely. I also had the same problem. Now reinstall both of these browsers and check whether they are working properly. They would definitely work. But remember you have to uninstall both of the browsers completely and then reinstall them. After the reinstallation they would definitely work as they used to earlier. Hope this would help.
