Installing ubuntu on Dell using Windows 7

I have been facing problem in using ubuntu on my dell inspiron 1721. I installed ubuntu very first time and I did it from a flash drive. Installation process went perfect but the problem is, it doesn’t work. My input devices like mouse and keyboard also don’t work. Please help me out to resolve the issue. I would be very grateful to you.

Installing ubuntu on Dell using Windows 7

Ubuntu has been designed bearing in mind most hardware that abounds, therefore is highly probably that if your hardware isn't too unheard of, Ubuntu work in your machine right away! However, you can examine if your hardware in concert with Ubuntu and meets the minimum system specifications.
 

I recommend the employment of CD in installing Ubuntu make certain that you are attached  to the internet all along if you find yourself installing the OS because Ubuntu alone will auto search and download for the right software for your system peripheral including audio and video.
