I’m trying to access the backup I created in Acronis True Image Home 2012. I saved it on a removable media disk. But I am receiving the error below when trying to launch it. How can I be able to cope with it?

f it is located on a removable media or a remote storage, then make sure that the storage device is connected, and try again. E:2My_Documents57.tib.

Acronis Time Explorer

Cannot find the file or folder. If it is located on a removable

media or a remote storage, then make sure that the storage

device is connected, and try again. E:2My_Documents57.tib.

Hi Donald,

Acronis True Media Home 2012 can recover your backup files to any removable disk you stored it. Try these steps to help restore your backup files. Ok go to Acronis and then click the Recovery tab, and then they are going to tell you from which backup files you want to extract your desired user data.

Where on your local hard disk you want to go and precisely which back-up files you want to have restored. And then select the archive that contains your data, when you selected that files that you want to restore just select next.

File Recovery

Now you are going to choose what destination you want to recover your files, you can choose "Original location" or "New location" either way. If you select New location they going to tell you where you want to put your files or what folder you want to restore it.

And now when you select a file just hit the "Recover now". And that's it, your files has been recovered.

Hope this will help.

Hello Donald,

To resolve that issue, you will need to restore visa True images using the following procedure:

  • You will need to find the backup on your computer, and then right-click on it and select Archive -> Recover.
  • When the backup opens, you will need to choose the Files and Folders tab.
  • And then go to backup contents and then choose the files and folders that you want to restore.
  • In case you have got a number of backups from different dates/time, and you only need to recover one of the earlier versions, you will need to choose the necessary date in Time Explorer.
  • And then you will press Recover.
  • In the File Recovery window, you will need to choose whether you want to recover the selected data to the original location or to the new location, and then press Recover now.

Regards,

Carl
