I want to newly install OCSR2 Director and Edge server. But before that, I need to confirm whether the Live Communications Server pool is compatible with it. Also, I want to know whether I have to uninstall LCS Director and Access Proxy Server before installing OCSR2 Director and Edge server or can this be done side by side?

Installing OCSR2 Director and Edge Server compatible with Live Communications Server Pool
The following are the steps that you will need to follow when installing the OCS 2007 R2 Edge Server. One important point to note is that you will need to make sure that the Edge Server has not been joined to your Corporate Active Directory.

First you will need to install the Files that are to be used by the Edge Server

You will then activate the Edge Server

Thereafter you will need to configure the Edge Server

After that you will carry out the Configuration of the Certificates for Edge Server

Once you have done that, you will start the Services

And then validate the Edge Server
