Hello there experts,

While I was installing Bitdefender on my laptop this error appeared and it asks for some permissions. I don’t know how to activate these or how to skip them. Can anyone help me please to fix this ? How can I give those permissions ?

Thanks !

You don’t actually need to send the crash report to the server since it will not help you solve the problem. Just click on “Don’t send” to cancel the request. If you want to install Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition, you need to check first if you meet all the requirements because if you don’t you will also not be able to install it.

If you are using a non-Microsoft Windows operating system, I don’t think you will be able to install it because as what the program’s specifications say, it can only be installed on Microsoft Windows operating systems. Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 x86 only, Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, and Windows 8.

If you are using Windows 8.1 and it doesn’t install, try running the installer in compatibility mode. Right-click on the installer and select Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list below. Click OK and then run the installer again. See if this works. If you want to download the installer again, visit Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition.
