Yes it is true the new Samsung Galaxy S III feature a 1,5ghz quad core processor, a 4.8 inch 1080 resolution display, a 2 GB RAM, a 2 megapixel front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera, and it would run on Android 4.0.Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a 2,100 mAh battery it is one of the larger battery for smartphones.It is needed to cope up with the screen size and additional processing power. Samsung Galaxy S III also reduced the power draw by including the latest Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi accelerator.
It also include an optional accessory for charging where in you just put the Samsung Galaxy S III on the charging pad and it will automatically charge your battery.
It will be available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB respectively, with an additional SD card up to 64GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S III was both announced and released in May of 2012. It supports 2G and 3G networks.
It measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 millimeters and weighs 133 grams or around 4.69 ounces. It has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors and 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 that is integrated with TouchWiz user interface. It comes with 1 GB internal RAM and a microSD slot that can be expanded up to 64 GB. It supports v4.0 with A2DP and EDR for the Bluetooth, NFC, and v2.0 microUSB USB On-the-go.
It runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and can be upgraded up to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by Exynos 4412 Quad chipset with a quad core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and Mali-400MP GPU. It has built-in Accelerometer, compass, gyro, proximity, and barometer sensors. It only supports HTML with Adobe Flash.
The built-in GPS supports A-GPS and GLONASS. This Android Smartphone supports Java application using the Java MIDP emulator. Standby time is up to 590 hours on 2G and 790 hours on 3G while talk time is up to 21 hours and 40 minutes on 2G and 11 hours and 40 minutes on 3G.
