Hello Paul,

The desktop slide show has a feature that will let you adjust the duration and it’s picture effect, color and interval when to on or off the shuffle. I will guide you to activate these hidden settings on your computer to enable this application. This can be done by going into your Registry Editor and change the duration and of the interval of your animation, exactly the way you want.

Here’s how;

  • Click Start, Go to regedit.exe,
Follow these steps, Hkey_current_usercontrol panelPersonalizationdesktop slide show.

  • Do right-click on the key, create a new DWORD value and replace the name to AnimationDuration;
  • Hit the AnimationDuration twice and set the value to 1000 (milliseconds) or your desired time;
  • Close the Registry Editor.
There you are, follow the steps and it will let you change the duration and interval.

Dear Paul,

So your problem would focus on increasing the time allotment of your desktop slide show. Well, if you want a very fast solution to this just follow these steps, you can change it in just a second:

  • In your user interface, Right Click;
  • Then, you can see different option, click "SLIDE SHOW";
  • After clicking the slide show, an image will appear at the upper right corner of your desktop/user interface;
  • Then point the cursor into the image;
  • Then you will see, three icons, choose the "wrench" image, it's the "OPTION";
  • Click that image, then you will see a box;
  • Adjust the time, you can choose from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, depend in to the time that you wanted;
  • Then look at the result of the slide show.
