Im looking for an Outlook connection utility tool

Hi.  I'm having trouble connecting with WebMail in Outlook.  It looks like Outlook can't connect to the server.  Is there an Outlook connection utility tool so I can diagnose the problem?  I use Microsoft Outlook 2003.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi Donna,

Yes, there may be a couple of software out there but you don’t actually need those to fix your issue. All you need to do is identify if your outlook is properly configured. If your webmail is setup as POP in your outlook then you need to check if the servers and port numbers are configured properly. This goes the same if you are setup with IMAP.

This is how you check your settings (just included pop as it will be very long if I outline everything here) with your outlook 2003.

1. Go to Tools
2. Then Email Accounts
3. Select “view or change existing email accounts” Next
4. Highlight your email account click change.

Right from that page you will find a “More Settings” button. Go to “Advance” tab and you will find all settings currently set. Change settings if needed.
