Anyone having knowledge about how IDM works? I want to know how IDM gives incredible high downloading speed as compared to direct downloads?

IDM vs direct downloading speeds

 

The Internet Download Manager (IDM) uses the technology of packet data transfer in which the data to be downloaded is divided into several packets and it is received to the client computer from several different routes so that the downloading speed is multiplied to high rates. Then at the receiving end IDM rejoins the data in the original sequence.

IDM vs direct downloading speeds

Hello,

Internet download Manger downloads the data 5 times faster than an ordinary download due to the following reasons:

1.   Divide downloads into multiple streams for faster downloading

3.   Multiple queues

4.   Mirrors support to increase download speeds.

5.   Video downloading from streaming video sites.

6.  Dynamic segmentation throughout the downloading process.

These are all the features which helps the download manager to download faster than the direct download.
