IDM CC extension shows error

Hello,

I am having problem with my Internet download manager. When I try to download any file from the browser an error message occurs saying “Cannot transfer file download to Internet Download Manager. Error 0x80004002”. I could not fix this problem by downloading IDM again. Please provide any suggestion to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Hey Mr. Ponder,

This is a very common error facing Windows users and is the result of problems while installing Windows Update. There might be compatibility issues also with the IDM.There are several more reasons to Error 0x80004002 like malware infections , registry errors ,etc.

IDM CC extension shows error

Hello,

Such problem can be solved by installing IDM in correct order. IDM CC is unable to locate the installation of IDM’s core and so unable to pass the file to the program. Installing the program completely new will solve this issue.

1. Download latest IDM.

2. Uninstall the older one from Start menu >> Control Panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features. Make sure to choose “Complete” uninstallation process.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Install the latest IDM.

5. Restart your browser.

Now, downloading should go fine.

IDM CC extension shows error
