1) Firstly, after clicking on the Start Windows icon, click on Open Windows Explorer.
2) Then, select Computer, in the navigation pane, for appearing your drives in the right pane.
3) Now, select the drive that you want to check. Then, click on Properties.
4) After clicking on the Tools, select the button of Check now.
5) Then, In the Check Disk window, select the “automatically fix file system errors” checkbox. After that, click Start.
6) Now, if the drive that you want to check is currently in use, then you will see a dialog box (with a warning message). Click Schedule disk check, if this happens.
7) After exiting all open programs, restart your computer.
8) The checking starts immediately. The results will be displayed after it is completed.
