The following steps guide the user to acquiring IP address using SonicWall VPN client is as follows:
Step 1: Login into the SonicWall Management Interface and navigate to MANAGE | VPN | DHCP over VPN.
Step 2: Select the Central Gateway option and click on Configure.
Step 3: Select Use internal DHCP Server if the SonicWall is the DHCP server. Check the For Global VPN Client checkbox to use the DHCP Server for Global VPN Clients.
Step 4: Select Send DHCP requests to the server addresses listed below option if you want to send DHCP requests to specific servers. Click on Add and type IP addresses of DHCP servers in the Ip Addresses field. Click on OK.
The SonicWall now directs the requests to the specified servers.
