Sometimes, I receive the error message “Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close. ” I’ve no idea what it is all about that never happened before.
This message has appeared 3 or 4 times. Is there anything I can do, or is it related to my older version of Norton?
Another question is about Norton update.
When I click on Help and Support Home Norton, I get a box that says “free, then it says click access to the latest version”.
How can I deal with the old version which is currently on my computer?

You have problems is update error of Norton internet security. You told that you have old version of Norton internet security. Yes it may have link with the problem. First uninstall the Norton Internet security from your computer. Then delete all the directory files of Norton internet security from program files. You also can remove Norton Internet security by using Norton remover.
You can use the old license key in the update version of Norton internet security. So it is better that download newer version and installs it.
You don’t need the CD to install the latest version of Norton Internet security. First download the latest version from internet, and then install it in your computer
Then install Norton Internet security. You can use your old but valid license key now. You must maintain some condition which are follows:
01. Be sure that the boxed version of Norton internet security is using for the same computers which are currently protected.
02. Do not enter the new key until 1-2 days before your subscription expires.
