Hi. I have my Outlook integrated with an MDaemon server for the added email security. I need tips on how to block spam on MDaemon server? I use Microsoft Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 64 bit system. Thanks in advance.
Follow this step to block spam on MDaemon:
1. Launch the MDaemon in menubar, click the "Setup" then select the "Default Domain/Servers" or press F2 on your keyboard.
2. In the left pane of the "Default Domain & Server" window, select the "Server"
3. Set the limit you want in "… allows only this many RCPT commands" and "… allows only this many RSET commands" then second check the "Close session"
4. Click the "Apply" button then "OK" button to apply the changes you made.
5. You need to enable the "Dynamic Screen" to ban all the connection that will exceed on the limit you gave in step 3. To do this you must follow this instruction:
* After menu bar click the "Security" then select the "Security Settings…" or press Ctrl + S on your keyboard.
* In the left pane of the "Security Settings", select the "Dynamic Screen".
* Set the amount you want in "Ban IPs that cause this many failed RCPTs in an SMPT session" and in "Ban IPs that cause this many failed RSETs in an SMPT session (0 = no limit)"
* Click the "Apply" button and then Click "OK"

I found a solution on how to block unwanted email messages on your Microsoft Outlook. I know, you already know how to manage Microsoft Outlook 2007. So, I will go directly on how to solve the issue. Alright, just click on any folders that you think it contents spam email messages. After that, list of email messages will appear on the next panel. Just right-click on the selected email you want to add into the block list and then select the "Junk-email" and click the "Add Sender to Block Senders List" . Once you click on it, all the email came from that email address will added to block sender list. Another way to block messages is by clicking "Actions" and select "Junk-email". Go to "Email Options…" another form will be shown. Just click the "Blocked Senders" tab and then you can add email address and domain you want to block. After adding email addresses and domains it will take effect automatically when you hit "OK" button.
