I need an alternative Poser Figure Artist software that is much easier to use and has a smaller file size. I also need shadow rendering options for the 3D figure. I have an Intel core i7 2.66 GHZ processor, 1 GB Video Card with 3D shader and OS X Leopard. Can someone suggest a MAC software Figure Artist alternative?

If you are into commercial solutions, I would highly recommend you to try Poser. It is very user friendly and almost like a game tool that will allow you to create everything you'd like in just a few clicks with just a bit of effort.

There are also several free alternatives that are not so much user friendly and you will need to know the basics of 3D modeling to use them. I would suggest you to try MakeHuman, as a tool specialized in creating characters or DAZ studio that is quite simple and will save you a lot of time.
