Our professor told us that we should research about realbasic snmp. When I researched the net, I didn't manage to find a concrete answer. Can anybody explain to me what's this? Can you give me a link? Thank you

I need an explanation of what is realbasic snmp for network?

The full meaning of SNMP is Simple network management protocol.  The SNMP crated in 1988. SNMP is partially based on the agent model which consists of a database of management information, a manager and an agent. The manager  maintains the communication between human network manager and the management system. On the other hand the agent  maintains the relation between  the manager and the physical devices.The main features which give you much benefits, they are- its LAN-based, its an open standard, easily extendable, it offers common management for various devices.
