Hello experts,

I got an error receiving Ubuntu 11 mail. My operating system is Ubuntu 11 and I am internet connected, the internet connection is working fine but it seems like I cannot received an email when using this operating system. Can you give me some instruction to troubleshoot and fix this problem?

Hi

I will help you to solve your problem. Your os is Ubuntu Linux is a very robust os. If you are connected and still you are getting error in getting mail, then check that your account settings are correct and you have entered your username and password correctly. Also check firewall settings.

I got an error receiving ubuntu 11 mail.

 

Hi there user:

You did not post a screen shot of the error message that you received. Anyway, the most common problem or error message by way of Ubuntu Mail is ‘Failed to Append to mbox:/home/xxx/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/#sent: Invalid folder URL ‘mbox:/home/xxx/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/#sent.’

Now here’s how to fix this error message. Go to EvolutionàEditàPreferences, and then edit your Account. Go to Defaults Tab select the ‘Message Sent Folder.’ Now test to see if the error still there.
