Hi techyv people, I am sharing here an amazing error message, I experience this while I was using our inventory application, all of a sudden an error message appeared, its message was Windows cannot find the file. Would you like some wine instead ?

Windows cannot find the file.

Would you like some wine instead ?

I pasted above the screen shot of the error, the error sounds strange, I don't believed it is generated from our inventory application, so tried to scan my computer for some virus that might hijack my computer, but none was found, but I still suspected this is a work of a virus, please your experience on this message, thanks in advance.

Haha!  That's a good one!

If you are actually serious that error message really popped up while you were using the computer then someone most definitely played a good trick on you.

That particular gag or gag photo has been floating around the Internet making the rounds of joke sites and blogs (sometimes referred to as "Stupid Computer Error Messages").  A quick search through Google of the phrase "windows cannot find the file would you like some wine instead?" will show you a lot of blogs and joke sites.

No need to worry.  It is most definitely not a virus.  It is funny though.

Hello Sean,

What you are getting is definitely not an error due to a virus, but it is just a stupid error message. There are lots error messages like those that you can find on the internet, some which are really funny, like the following:

You can resolve it by doing the following:

  • You can try restarting the inventory application and see if it will resolve the issue. I will recommend that you close the processes being run by the application in the task manager and then restart it.
  • Or you can just restart the whole system to refresh everything on the computer and then after that restart the application.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
