Hi, My computer hard drive free space is now very low, so I decided to remove useless files, I encountered an error when I want to delete a certain folder, the error message is telling me that it the file is in used, I posted below the exact error message.

Error Deleting File or Folder

Cannot delete test: It is being used by another person or program.

Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

I check on the error message, I am wondering why I cannot delete the files, since I am not using the folder that I want to delete, I check on some viruses that might infect the folder, but none was found according to my anti virus application, please help me find ways on my issue, so that I can delete the folder, thanks a lot.

I have countered the same problem for several times .Even though i tried many methods ,i just couldn't delete certain files .One day ,i was stuck  to  one folder and searched for the solution .When i was confusing ,one of my friends ,who is really good at  IT help me out of  it .Before deleting the annoying file ,you should download a software "Unlocker"and install it (here is the download link :http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml).a new option named “unlocker” will appear when right clicking any files or folders in Windows Explorer. To unlock a locked file, just right click it, select unlocker, and the unlocker software will start. Then, click “unlock all” and close the software. Now that your file is unlocked, just delete it in Windows Explorer, as you always do. This is much simpler than solution .Good luck ,pal !

Restart your computer then try delete the file again. If it still doesn't work try the following method:New a text file, copy the following code
DEL /F /A /Q \?%1
RD /S /Q \?%1
into it and save as a file name Del.bat.Dragged the file which can not be deleted into the Del.bat file.I use this simple but useful method to resolve my own problem several times, hope it will solve your problem too!
