My file is on a network drive and every time I try to open a *.pst file I get this message: “Errors have been detected in the file z:MyFile.pst”.

Its file size is 2,856,729 KB.

Then, when I attempt to change the time and date stamp on the file it still cannot open.

Any ideas and suggestions?

You will need to use the inbox repair tool to find and open the *.pst files on your computer as follows:

  1. On your computer you will click on Start and then point to Find, or for some computer you will need to use the Search box, depending upon your operating system that you are using.
  2. Once you have opened the Find window, you will need to locate the Search for files or folders named box, and there you will need to type scanpst.exe.
  3. Thereafter you will have to type the path and file name of the pst file that you are trying to open, or you can alternatively click Browse to locate the file using the windows file system.
  4. And then click Start.

The files will be found and then you can open it.
