I can’t use my webcam into my Skype

I bought a new webcam, and I'm able to install it to my PC but every time I use it to my Skype it keeps on saying that I have no available camera connected.

What do you think is the problem?

Please help me.

I can’t use my webcam into my Skype

Hi Malina,

Your new webcam have may technical problem, that’s why it does not work in you pc when you connected Skype.

You may test your webcam by capture any picture or record video, you may also check it by connecting yahoo messenger.

If your webcam works well then try to connect with Skype.

Remember that, you should use the latest version of Skype for use video call feature.

So I suggest you to download again Skype software for its official website.

Beside this you should check webcam cable and a USB port. You should reinstall requires drivers for use webcam.

Make sure that you have the latest driver installed in your pc before run webcam.

Close all programs that may be using the webcam.

These include video editing software, instant messengers (such as Yahoo Messenger or Windows Live Messenger), browsers, Windows Explorer, and even some websites.

Once you have done this, check that your webcam is being used by Skype.

I can’t use my webcam into my Skype

Please check the virus to your PC. Then you uninstall Skype then restart  your PC.

And Install again Skype . 

Please you collect new soft of Skype. Do not use Your old collection.

Otherwise New Install your Operating System.

I can’t use my webcam into my Skype

If you have a brand new webcam and you want to use it with Skype, just connecting it to your computer will be of no use. To make the camera work, you have to install its driver. Check the brand of your webcam then visit its website. The camera’s driver should always be downloadable from there.

Once the driver is installed, test the camera if it is working properly by running its program. Once the camera is working, start Skype then go to “Tools” and then “Options.” On the left pane, select “Video settings” then from the “Select webcam” dropdown list, select your webcam from the list and then click “Save.” That should do it.

Now, try video calling one of your friends on Skype and check if he or she sees you on the camera.
