I am unable to open the DVD

Hello Experts,

I have a computer in my home, running with windows XP. I have a DVD containing some important files. When I inserted the DVD, I am unable to open it. But I am able to open it on another computer.

Kindly fix this issue as I need to access the files urgently.

Hello Dear,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us.

Dear your DVD Rom is in problem.

Or the DVD which you are trying to open is not burned on that speed which your DVD Rom supports.

Check another DVD in your drive. If the other DVD opens then it is fault of your DVD not DVD Rom.

But if other disk also remain unreadable then kindly consult with technician.

May be your DVD Rom is out of order.

I am unable to open the DVD

 I think its working

First Right-click My Computer

Properties > Hardware > Device Manager

 

Go IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, select your burner, right click, select Properties/Advanced & make sure the Transfer Mode is DMA – not P10.

If there is another problem follow this link

Or you can uninstall your driver and re install it and restart your pc.
