I use Microsoft Windows XP. Three days back I copied some files from my friend's USB drive. Since then I am facing a problem of system shutdown problem . It says system is shutting down, please save all your work and log off. I don't know what is going on.

Please expert help me out.

These type of problems occur when we copy the files without checking the Antivirus program. Mainly from the USB sticks.

Solution for this is to run the Antivirus program and check for any quarantines or deletion of the files which you have copied from the USB stick. Also check your USB stick with your Antivirus program and if possible format the USB stick and keep it clean. Enable the Antivirus program running always when you are copying any files from any other external storages.

If the problem still exists try to scan your system in depth mode such that if any system files are effected then it is safe to remove all those files and get installed again. If any system files are corrupted then OS related problems like yours will be encountered.
