I am confused with AVI video pixelation

Hi all,
I usually play avi files without any problems. However, now some files are pixelated specially in full screen. I've updated the agp drivers, directx and codecs and also reinstalled them but I got no result. I've tried playing the files on other players other than WMP, such as VLC and Real Player but they've all got the same problem. The avi's are also of different formats: some are in divx format and others in xvid. Any suggestions on what I can do on this avi video pixelation?

Hi,

I think your problem is not the AVI format but the file itself, I think that when you downloaded the file, it is a converted one done by some cheap converter. Try converting it again in mp4 format this time and see what may the result is and also I recommend you to use the Converter called “Total Video Converter” Hope this helps.

Hi. There are possibly two reasons why you're .Avi video files is pixilated when you view it specially in full screen. First, if you uninstalled some video software, the codecs that were used to render the files might also be uninstalled which it causes the conflict. Second, you download the video file with a low resolution or sizes. It is also possible that you use cheaper downloader or converter software which can be result to make it pixilated. Try to install the combined codec pack and see if it will end your problem.
