Hi,

I just got my Sun box from eBay with Solaris but now I am unable to connect via Hyper Terminal to Solaris which cannot properly boot up. I have spent so many hours to fix this problem but I could not resolve this issue.

You can see the attached error image below so please provide helpful solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

First of all you have to suggest what kind of a cable and hyper terminal settings that you are going to need.

Before making cable and hyper terminal settings you must make sure that you have not plugged  at the same time that you want to use the serial port.

Cable setting would be as following.

25 male to 9m/f

In 25

25      pin2      pin3      pin7

9        pin3      pin2      pin4

Pin 2 is transmit

Pin 3 is recieved

Pin7 is request to send signals

Hyper terminal settings would be 38400

                                                              8

                                                               N

                                                              1 for hardware
