Hp Simple Pass 2011- Sensor not connected.

I used Simple Pass 2011 to my computer. One time I installed Finger Print Driver by Digital Persona and it works well. But other day I used the Simple pass and then I got this error message. I tried to uninstall the digital persona driver because of thinking that this is the reason of the error, but the error still occurred.  I am using HP dv4-1516TX Laptop. How can I fix this problem?

Hello Randy,

I think that your problem is the same as mine.  The HP default set up for the finger print scanner is set to be disabled when our computer goes to sleep.  When you unchecked the box beside (allow computer to turn off this device to save power) and the image below, your scanner has worked flawlessly. For your information I have been keeping my computer plugged in, so it always had access to power. See image below:
I hope it might help. Good luck and have a great day. Message me back. It is my pleasure helping you out.

Hi,

You just simply check your driver or your software if there an corrupted file to your application and then try to upgrade the version of the software or maybe try to download the new release version and then try to check the software or the driver if it’s compatible to your operating system and then try to uninstall the old software to your machine and then after that reinstall it again to your PC if it’s possible and then try to scan your PC if there an infected files or maybe application from viruses or spyware just simply check to be safe only.

Hello Randy,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

  • Reinstall the digital persona fingerprint reader from recovery,
  • And then reinstall the HP simple pass from the HP customer care site.
  • You should see the light to blinking at startup, and then check if the application is working.
  • Also check if the software can open and after that enroll two fingerprints, and then check if it is functioning.
  • If it is not, you will need to restore to the point created before updates. That should fix the issue.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
