HP PSC 1315 all-in-one Problem
Good Day,
Having an HP all-in-one printer is very good to use, but sometimes troubleshooting a good printer is such a headache to repair.
My First step of fixing this kind of problem seems to be on "What Kind of OS (Operating System) you used".
Rebooting the computer will not help and fix the problem because rebooting is like "Restart to refresh the program".
See what kind of OS are you using. Is it Window 7. Windows XP, etc.?
If your Operating System is Window 7 then it's good. Ones you plug your printer into the PC this will automatically search the printers Identification and it will tell you that you need to update the driver of the printer.
This step will guide you on how to update the driver.
First, go to "START" button located below the side of the desktop / screen.
Once it pops out, you will see the COMPUTER tab on it. Right click it and select the "PROPERTIES".
In PROPERTIES, this will show you the" Control Panel/System Security" driver.
FIND/LOCATE the "DEVICE MANAGER" tool located at its side. Then Click it.
In this portion you will see a LIST of DRIVERS that you can use for updating operating system.
Please choose the "PORTS (Com & LPT)". This phrase will vary on what kind of printer you insert.
Click it: You will see the name of the printer. Let's just say an "HP PSC 1315 needs to be updated" or "Printer needs to be updated".
Right click the selected driver to be updated.
You will see a list of : "Update Driver Software". Select it and it will automatically update your printer.
BE SURE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.
My SECOND Option of conclusion is to RE-INSTALL the Driver. If you have uninstalled on it then it's better.
If NOT, you may need a tool on it.
This is How to reinstall the driver:
First you will need to have the "CC Cleaner software". It can be downloaded free at any site.
Or in this site " https://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ ".
DOWNLOAD it. Free of charge. Install it by just clicking on it until you FINISH the installation process.
Ones you have your Software. This will automatically install in your "RECYCLE BIN" desktop.
Right click the RECYCLE BIN icon and you will see "OPEN CC CLEANER" and "RUN CC CLEANER" on it.
Just chose OPEN CC CLEANER so that you will see the items inside of it. Namely the "CLEANER", "REGISTRY", "TOOLS" and the "OPTION".
Select "TOOLS", find the name of the printer."HP PSC 1315 " then select the subfolder named "Uninstall".
Ones you UNINSTALL it. You will need to REBOOT or RESTART the computer.
Then REINSTALL the HP PSC 1315 Driver in your Computer.
In this way you can easily find the drivers you want to UNINSTALL. But be cautious of what you will uninstall. It might corrupt the Operating System of the computer.
STEP 3: This may help you find the right driver of the Printer you are using:
PRINTER you used may correspond to the version of the Operating System.
OS Type Version Date Added File Size File Type Download Link (About)
DOWNLOAD it then Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on the file. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions for installing the driver.
IM GIVING MY BEST SHOT. I HOPE THAT THIS WILL HELP YOUR PROBLEM.
If not. your printer need to be replaced.
