HP Pavilion dm1 is plugged in but not charging.

I have an HP Pavilion dm1 which is now almost two years old. Whenever I plug in the charger, it says plugged in but not charging. Is my battery dead? How can I check that my battery is still working or not? Can it be a problem with my charger instead of the battery?

HP Pavilion dm1 is plugged in but not charging.

It is a battery problem mostly. But i will give you its solution.
Take your battery off and then insert it and keep your laptop off on till charging is full.
If not done, then you need to have done battery calibration for this purpose I will give you a link

HP Pavilion dm1 is plugged in but not charging.

If you are using a laptop and you noticed the battery is not charging after connecting the charger, check first if the charger is working. To do this, remove the charger from the laptop then open the battery compartment at the bottom and remove the battery. Now, insert the charger to your laptop and then turn on the laptop.

See if the laptop turns on. If the laptop turns on, it means the charger is working and you have a problem with your battery. In this case, you should replace the battery with a new one. On the other hand, if the laptop didn’t turn on after connecting the charger, your charger’s cable is probably damaged. Try connecting the charger to another laptop and see if it works.

If the same thing happens, you have a broken charger. Just replace it with a new one. A working charger should be able to power up a laptop even if the battery is not connected.
